advantage of features that come with your Jagfly

How hard is it to move my site to your servers?
It's actually pretty simple. You can even arrange for us to transfer your web site to our server. We will of course need some information from you, like your existing host's FTP server and username and password.
If you wish to embark on the transfer process on your own, the steps involved are as follows:
- Set up your new hosting account with Jagfly Hosting. Your account will be set up within 20 minutes and we will provide you with all the specifics you need to start setting up your web site on our servers.
- Using an FTP program such as CuteFTP, SmartFTP, or Fetch login into your new Jagfly Hosting account and upload your files to the server. For more information on uploading and setting up your account see our Support Area.
- If you have any email accounts set up at your existing host you will need to recreate those account at Jagfly Hosting using our web based control panel. Information on setting up your email accounts can be found in our Support Area as well as in the initial welcome email we send you when your account has is established on our servers.
- Double check to make sure you set up your web site and email addresses properly. We provide you with a temporary URL which you can use to view your web site at Jagfly Hosting before your update your domain name to point to the servers here. This means you can set up your account at Jagfly Hosting and move your files over without any interruptions in the availability of your web site or email at your existing host.
- And the final step, once your certain everything is in place on the servers at Jagfly Hosting, its to initiate the DNS / Nameservers update with the registrar which controls your domain name. Each registrar has a different procedure for making DNS / Nameservers updates. However, most allow you to make the change online using the registrar's web site. You will want to update the DNS / Name servers so they read: NS.JAGFLYHOSTING.COM & NS2.JAGFLYHOSTING.COM. Once you update the DNS / Nameservers it will typically take between 24 - 48 hours before your web site starts working on our server.

Will my web
site work on your servers?
If your web site is currently hosted on a Unix/Linux
based server (as opposed to a WindowNT/2000 server),
your web site will most certainly work. There
is always the chance that your web site won't
work (specialized programming or other complexness)
and if this is the case, we'll work with you and
try to get it running and if we cannot, we'll
refund your money.
If you have any doubts, we can always take a
look at your existing site to determine if it
will work on our server. Usually in under 5 minutes

can give you a certain username, database name,
and/or password in order to mirror your current
set up at your existing host.
